How much will my label cost?
While we’d love to be able to provide a quick cost from a straightforward equation, it’s just not that simple. As a custom manufacturer, many details make up our estimated price including:

What is a pressure sensitive label?
While the simple answer to some is a “sticker”, those in the industrial space, like TLP, consider this a more complex question to address. At the most basic level, yes, a pressure sensitive (PS) label is a sticker. A material with an adhesive back requiring PRESSURE to be applied to another surface. But to the engineers behind the complex design of industrial labels… sticker is a four-letter word.

What do you mean by "label construction"?
When we say “label construction” we are referring to the combination of each label component
Label Construction = Liner + Adhesive + Facestock + Overlaminate
What is the difference between TLP’s print processes?
At TLP we offer a variety of print processes and utilize a variety of converting and finishing techniques. Our main print processes include flexographic, digital and screen. Each has their own strengths and is utilized for different reasons. TLP’s helpful experienced engineers will ask the right questions to pinpoint your printing requirements. How quickly will I receive my labels?
Our average, standard lead time will vary between projects and applications. While we aim for a 10-15 business day lead, the following may impact your lead times:
- Print process: Digital typically turns quicker than Flexo
- Tooling Lead Times
- Material Lead Times
- and More
The team at TLP strives to communicate lead times in advance and will also work with your production schedule to ensure labels arrive as needed as to not delay your own production timelines.
What type of art files should I send for production?
To ensure the best printing quality possible, we recommend artwork be created and sent to us in the following file types:
- Illustrator (.ai, .eps)
- Photoshop (.psd, .eps)
- InDesign (.indd)
- PDF files can be used for hard copies, but we prefer the original file format the art was created in when possible.
