Mike Erwin, CEO Receives Business Friend of Education Award
Menomonee Falls, WI—Elizabeth Burmaster, State Superintendent of Public Instruction will present a Business Friend of Education Award to state businesses who have participated in educational partnerships with local school districts. Mr. Mike Erwin, Tailored Label Products CEO, will accept the award for the Menomonee Falls based company. Tailored Label is actively involved in the program Second Chance Partners for Education. Through this program, they employ a rotation of high school students and provide a mentoring program so that these students are able to obtain their diploma in an alternate way.
Nominated by the Menomonee Falls High School for their creative business and education partnership with the District, Mike Erwin and Tailored Label have enhanced the educational experiences of students, and strengthened the Career and Technical Education program as a result of its involvement.
Mr. Erwin will be honored during a breakfast session taking place at the Wisconsin Association of Career and Technical Education (WACTE) Conference in Appleton, Wisconsin on February 26. Following the breakfast, the recipients of the award will be asked to be a part of a panel to discuss their experiences with business and education partnerships.
