UL Labels and CSA Labels

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) Recognized label components designed and tested to meet the UL requirements for your application.

At Tailored Label Products we specialize in label applications that require compliance with regulations as defined by third parties, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), RoHS and WEEE.

The UL Listing Mark on a product is the manufacturer's representation that samples of that complete product have been tested by UL to nationally recognized Safety Standards and found to be free from reasonably foreseeable risk of fire, electric shock and related hazards. TLP has been authorized by UL to print their logo and UL labels since 1985 File LP1527.

UL considers warning labels to be components of the product; therefore, UL labels must survive during normal use of the product, as well as extreme environmental conditions. It is vital to match UL Recognized base materials and inks to the surface on which they will be used File MH14382, File MH 16736, File MH 27978.

Some of the materials you’ll see our UL labels on are:

* Metals – stainless steel, galvanized steel and aluminum.
* Painted Surfaces – acrylic, polyester, epoxy, phenolic, porcelain, and powder coating.
* Plastic - ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), polyethlyene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, and nylon (many types).

CSA Logo Labels

CSA Standards, like their UL label counterparts, deal with the issue of safety and safe use of products with a focus on the Canadian market. TLP has been involved with CSA since the late 1980's, and has approved products in files 7921-04 and 7923-01. We can print CSA labels and other products.

ANSI

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is a private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system. ANSI promotes the use of U.S. standards internationally and encourages the adoption of international standards as national standards where they meet the needs of the user community.
